KNAUER HPLC and UHPLC columns

KNAUER offers an extensive range of columns and phases for HPLC. Our more than 35 years of experience in the field of liquid chromatographic separation techniques is evidenced by each and every column we deliver. High performance quality sorbents such as our very own Eurospher provide for excellent results. The process of manufacturing our HPLC separation columns has been thoroughly optimized. Strict criteria guarantee outstanding quality in batch-to-batch reproduction.

We design and manufacture HPLC column hardware ranging from 2 mm ID to 62 mm ID. Available column lengths range from 5 mm up to 300 mm. The column hardware is made of high quality stainless steel with a specially treated inner surface. The new Vertex Plus column hardware has been further enhanced in terms of stability and lowest dispersion. PEEK columns for biocompatible applications are also available. Many models can be equipped with an integrated precolumn.

• NEW: BlueOrchid - columns packed with 1.8 µm particles for ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC). BlueOrchid columns feature a remarkably low backpressure due to the narrow particle size distribution and show substantially improved resolution for much faster analysis results. BlueOrchid UHPLC columns are available in 7 modifications (C18, C18A, C8, PFP, Phenyl, CN, Si) for a wide range of applications. The special Vertex Plus UHP columns hardware provides for an even flow distribution and lowest possible dispersion.
• NEW: Bluespher® - ultra high performance columns with 2 µm particles were designed to feature comparable selectivities to Eurospher and Eurospher II columns and to enable high resolution LC applications. With Bluespher and Eurospher up and down scaling in the range between analytical UHPLC and preparative applications is extremely easy. Availabe as C18P, C18H, C18, C18A, Phenyl, C8, and Si.
• Eurospher I - premium, silica-based, spherical packing material with a narrow pore size distribution for a wide range of analytical and preparative HPLC applications.
Available as C18, C8, C4, NH2, CN, Diol, and Si modification in particle sizes: 3, 5, 10, and 15 µm.
• NEW: Eurospher II - new and enhanced high performance column material for analytical, semi-preparative, and process-scale applications. Compared with its predecessor, the new Eurospher II features even better particle and pore size distributions, as well as outstanding mechanical and chemical stability. Eurospher II was designed to provide physical properties very similar to EKA Chemicals' Kromasil columns and thus can be used as a modern replacement with most up-to-date performance. Availabe as C18P, C18H, C18, C18A, Phenyl, C8, C8AH, C4, NH2, CN, Diol, and Si. Particle sizes: 3, 5, 10, 15 µm,
• Eurocel - high performance chiral materials for many chiral HPLC separation tasks. This range of polysaccharide-based chiral HPLC columns features high loadability and remarkable eluent flexibility. A set of derivatizations (-3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate, -benzoate, -4-methylbenzoate, -phenylcarbamate) with different selectivities is available with particle size from 3 µm up to 20 µm.
• Eurokat - sulfonated crosslinked styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer for the analysis of carbohydrates and organic acids. Environmentally friendly because no organic solvents are required.
• Eurosil Bioselect - C4, C18, or C18A material with a large pore size specially for the purification of peptides and proteins.
• Kromasil 100 - high efficiency silica gel for analytical to process-scale separations.
• LiChrosorb 60, 100 - rugged, well-established, irregular silica material.
• LiChrospher 60, 100 - established, spherical alternative to LiChrosorb.
• Nucleosil 100, 120, 300 - spherical, silica-based material for a wide range of applications.
• ProntoSIL 60, 120, 200, 300 - ultra-pure silica-based material with a wide pH range.
• ProntoSIL Hypersorb ODS - spherical type A silica, alternative to Hypersil ODS material.
• Sphere-Image 80 - alternative to Spherisorb material, available in all typical modifications.
• Superspher 60, 100 - high performance silica gel with an average particle size of 4 µm for analysis of complex mixtures.

Some of the available surface modifications are:
Si, Diol, NH2, C1, C4, C6H5, C8, C8 SH, C18, CN, RP8, RP18, RP18 endcapped, RP select B.

Every column manufactured by KNAUER is individually tested and is delivered with a quality certificate and test report.
