Welcome!

Dear Reader,

Would you like to take a short vacation from the laboratory, but have too much work to do? All of the topics in this month’s newsletter are designed to help you get things done faster and more easily. For instance, we demonstrate how BlueOrchid 1.8 µm columns can speed up routine analyses, up to 6 times faster than the European Pharmacopoeia’s method. Another good example is our high throughput UHPLC-MS package.
Please also check our Event Calendar for the latest scheduled Webinars.
Happy reading!

Sincerely,
                Oliver Gültzow, Marketing

Separation of clindamycin phosphate and process impurities

This pharmaceutical application note presents an isocratic UHPLC separation of clindamycin phosphate from its precursor product lincomycin and impurities such as clindamycin. The method uses a sub-2 µm BlueOrchid C18A column and can be carried out in less than 3 minutes using a PLATINblue UHPLC system. The high speed and reliability of the method make it well-suited for routine analysis in drug-manufacturing quality control... more »

Determination of disperse dyes

This brief application note demonstrates the rapid separation of six disperse dyes on a BlueOrchid PFP column in under 4 minutes. Disperse dyes are commonly used to dye polyester, nylon, cellulose triacetate, and acrylic fibres. LC analysis of disperse dyes is used to determine the species and their amounts used in manufactured items... more »
