Welcome!

Dear Reader,

In this issue of the KNAUER e-report, we present an interesting UHPLC/MS application for amino acids and introduce a new group of ultra high-performance columns to expand our established Eurospher family of columns to also cover UHPLC. You'll also learn something about our presentations at HPLC in Budapest and at BIO in Washington.
Please also check our Event Calendar for the latest scheduled Webinars.
Happy reading!

Sincerely,
                Oliver Gültzow, Marketing

Determining amino acids rapidly and sensitively

Amino acid analysis is often used in research, in clinical settings and to control industrial processes. The present UHPLC application for the testing of baby food uses pre-column derivatization and a fast gradient separation on a modern 2 micron Bluespher® column. The 18 amino acids and taurine can be determined in only 8 minutes. Compared with standard UV detection, the fast MSQ Plus mass detector, applied here in electrospray mode, allows for simultaneous specific determination of the analytes... more »

New ultra high performance columns

Our new Bluespher® columns with 2 micron particles were developed to feature very similar properties and selectivity as KNAUER Eurospher I and Eurospher II columns. This will make the transition from an existing conventional HPLC method to fast LC or UHPLC much easier. Improve the resolution and speed of your separations and reduce your solvent consumption considerably by using 2 mm ID Bluespher® columns with 2 micron particles... more »

High performance and small footprint

At the HPLC 2011 conference in Budapest KNAUER will be showcasing our latest UHPLC and HPLC systems as well as purification solutions. Our systems are characterized by uncompromising performance and a small ecological footprint. In addition to five poster presentations on topics ranging from clinical applications to improvements in SMB process chromatography, KNAUER will also present a life cycle assessment of our PLATINblue UHPLC... more »

US launch of Bioline LC solutions at BIO

At this year’s BIO International Convention, the world's largest event for the biotechnology industry, taking place in Washington D.C. from June 27– 30, 2011, KNAUER will be introducing its Bioline systems to the American market. The motto of the new release is: "Bioline …faster, cooler, better!" Our KNAUER Bioline solutions are about to bring exciting new innovations for biochromatography... more »
